The Second half of my Small object Ideation class with Nick Bastin. Brought out a few amazingly designed pieces that are completely out of my comfort zone. It was great to create something that i would not usually create and had brought in a new direction and quality to my work.
We had to bring in three random objects and from them combined create a figure like representation of all the objects fused together, this is what i came up with.
Is currently a practicing Melbourne based Freelancing artist and jack of many trades. With many group and Solo exhibitions under her belt working predominantly in oils on canvas. Diamond is currently undergoing her Bachelor Of Fine Arts (Gold and Silversmithing) at Rmit University, To learn to create her more 2D styled works into a more 3D diverse realm of being.
Introducing the Juxtaposition of Beauty through Life and Death. Her dark and moody edge to the Modern Day Precious Object draws inspiration from the 19th Century Gothic Romanticism movement and 19th/20th Century Mourning jewellery. With a Certain Mexican day of the dead feel to her creations of work. Fragmented Bones, Skulls, Teeth and Anatomical themes are very repetitious. <3
